1. Overview
AI Factory Finder is a browser-based supplier intelligence tool. Its advanced algorithms analyze supported marketplace pages and combine the results with a structured supplier intelligence database to organize company signals and help you save clear supplier records.
2. Information handled by the extension
When you choose to analyze a supported page, the extension may read visible page content and use supplier intelligence data to identify information such as:
- supplier or company name;
- marketplace and source-page URL;
- company type and years in business;
- certifications, company or facility size, and product categories;
- visible email addresses and phone numbers;
- textual signals used to produce a factory-likelihood score.
This analysis is initiated by you and is limited to supported marketplace pages. If you sign in and save a supplier, the structured profile listed above is transmitted to AI Factory Finder and associated with your account. The extension does not intentionally collect passwords, payment-card details, private marketplace messages, or page content from unrelated websites.
3. Chrome permissions and why they are used
Active tab and scripting
Used to analyze the supported supplier page you are actively viewing after you request analysis.
Tabs
Used to identify the active page and open selected marketplace searches in new tabs.
Storage
Used to maintain a local working copy of supplier records, account state, and basic installation information in your Chrome profile.
Downloads
Used to create and download the CSV export you request.
Marketplace host access
Limited to Alibaba, Made-in-China, 1688, and Global Sources so the extension can analyze pages on those services.
4. Website data
When you create an account, we process your name, email address, authentication details, and session information to provide secure access. Passwords and authentication sessions are managed by Neon Auth and stored within the connected Postgres environment. Transactional account emails are delivered through our configured Gmail SMTP account.
Our hosting and infrastructure providers may process standard technical request data—such as IP address, browser type, requested URL, timestamps, and security logs—to deliver and protect the service. We do not currently use third-party advertising trackers.
5. Storage, retention, and your control
Local supplier records remain in Chrome’s extension storage until you clear them, remove the extension, clear the relevant browser data, or reset your browser profile. Account-synchronized records remain in your private cloud shortlist until you remove them or request account deletion. CSV exports are saved to the download location you choose and remain under your control.
You can review and remove synchronized suppliers from your account workspace. Local records can be cleared from the extension. For account deletion or privacy requests, contact us at factoryfinderai@gmail.com.
6. Third-party services
The extension opens and operates alongside third-party marketplaces. Those marketplaces have their own privacy practices and terms, and AI Factory Finder does not control them. Following an external link or using a marketplace may allow that service to collect information under its own policies.
The website and API are hosted by Vercel. Supplier records and account information are stored in Neon Postgres with Neon Auth, provisioned through the Vercel Marketplace. Google provides SMTP delivery for transactional account emails. These providers process information as needed to deliver their respective services.
7. Security
We use encrypted connections, server-side database credentials, authenticated account access, and user-specific data queries. Database credentials are never included in the Chrome extension. No browser extension, device, or storage system is completely secure, so protect your Chrome profile and account credentials and avoid saving information you do not need.
8. Children’s privacy
AI Factory Finder is a professional supplier research tool and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the extension evolves—for example, if AI processing, analytics, payments, or team features are introduced. Material changes will be reflected by a new effective date and, where appropriate, an in-product or store-listing notice.
